We've had a lot fun fun today! Detroit airport was pretty cool, and we managed swallow some Taco Bell tacos before we realised that we had 2 more hours to wait before or transfer flight to LA. This is the first time I've done a transfer on the way to CA. It blew my mind that they had a major trainride in the Detroit airport, for taking you the 500m to the shops, but hey, whatever floats your boat.
The connecting flight was crummy (thats what you get for flying economy eh) and way to hot. The guy next to me was overweight and was resting his face on the back of the seat in front of him. Throughout our 5 hours flight.
We saw "the Godfather" on the laptop while we waited. Gosh that's one impressive movie, and I am embarassed to say this is the first time I saw it.
Arrival was flawless, and we've checked in on our hotel in Marina Del Rey. We had some really fantastic food at a place up the beach, a frozen margherita and are now planning to try to catch up on our jetlagged sleep pattern before picking Marty & Lotta up tomorrow night at LAX before heading out to Ventura.
I'll write some more once I have gotten some sleep!

What did I learn today? That I forget what I learn when I am joppa lagged.

Well, the "work" was actually just to exchange some pounds for US dollars on Heathrow and write a report on the experience...
